Discover SMP

What is SMP?
SMP (scalp micropigmentation) is an advanced method of cosmetic pigmentation. The process involves the use of specialized equipment, such as needles, machines, and specially formulated pigments + techniques to inject pigment into the scalp. Thus, creating the look of hair follicles.
What does SMP help with?
Add Density to Thinning Hair
SMP fills in areas where density has decreased, reducing visible scalp and creating the appearance of a fuller head of hair for both men and women.
Camouflage Hair Transplant or Restoration Scars
SMP can conceal scars, plug marks and uneven results from previous hair restoration procedures. It also adds density in areas where a transplant did not achieve the desired coverage.
Enhance Hair Transplant Results
Many physicians recommend combining SMP with transplant procedures. The natural texture of transplanted hair plus the added pigment from SMP creates the look of thicker, fuller coverage. Timing varies, so an in person consultation helps determine the best approach.

FAQ's
Is scalp micropigmentation only for men or only for women?
Absolutely not! Scalp micropigmentation is for anyone who is insecure about their hair loss - which is a good thing, as the majority of both men and women will experience thinning hair in their lifetime. Of course, men and women tend to lose their hair in different ways, which is why we use the Norwood scale to identify stages of male hair loss, and the Savin scale to identify stages of female hair loss. While the basic process (using specailized equipment to depsoit pigment into your scalp) remains the same regardless of gender, style options do vary - you can view style options for men here and style options for women here.
How much does scalp micropigmentation cost?
The price of scalp micropigmentation varies from person to person, depending on how much hair loss you have. That's why we ask each client to identify the approximate stage of their hair loss on either the Savin or Norwood scale before requesting an appointment. It's for this reason that we also offer FREE consultations! Simply contact us using our contact form or by emailing us at tashibrow@gmail.com.

Does scalp micropigmentation hurt?
The answer to this question varies from person to person depending on their pain tolerance...that said, SMP is minimally invasive, and, personally, I don't find the procedure painful at all! During the first part of the procedure, most clients feel a gentle vibrating or buzzing sensation. Later in the session, your scalp becomes more tender, and so you might feel a small, sharp pinching sensation. But the skin on our scalp is thick, making this treatment less painful than, say, body tattooing or permanent eyebrows - so if you've ever experienced either of those things, rest assured that you'll be able to handle scalp micropigmentation like a pro.
What is the process like?
Your treatment begins with a detailed consultation where Seung reviews your goals, explains the procedure and helps determine the best style and pigment choice for natural looking results. The first session lays the foundation, with follow up appointments spaced a few weeks apart to add density, refine detail and adjust color as needed. Some clients may choose a third session for a darker or more defined look.

Most people experience minimal discomfort, and redness typically fades within a day. Each step is designed to ensure safe, precise and realistic results performed with the highest quality tools and techniques.
How do I book an appointment?
Because scalp micropigmentation varies from case-to-case, the first step to booking an appointment with us is identifying what stage of hair loss you have according to either the Savin or Norwood scale. Once you've identified your stage, please contact us using our website form or by emailing us at tashibrow@gmail.com. Not sure what stage of hair thinning you are at? No worries! You can either send us an email with a picture of your scalp, and we can help identify the stage for you, or, if you'd prefer, you can come in for a FREE consultation at our studio in Plano, TX. You have nothing to lose, and a world of confidence to gain!
